Hosted & Local Gateways
There are two types of Gateways, a Local Gateway and a Hosted Gateway.

Local Gateway

A Local Gateway is installed by the user on a server with low latency to the blockchain client.

Connecting to a Local Gateway

To connect to a Local Gateway, follow the instructions on the Gateway Installation page. Registering an account is required.

Hosted Gateway

A Hosted Gateway is a Gateway conveniently hosted and managed by bloXroute Labs in its cloud infrastructure. Enterprise plan includes the option for Hosted Gateways. User can purchase additional Hosted Gateways as needed.

Connecting to a Hosted Gateway

Connecting to a Hosted Gateway is similar to connecting to a local Gateway.

Steps to connect to a Hosted Gateway:

  1. 1.
Register an account and select Enterprise plan.
  2. 2.
Let us know at [email protected] that you would like to configure a bloXroute Hosted Gateway. We’ll provision a remote Gateway for you usually by the next business day. You can provide the information over Discord or by email. Make your subject line “Hosted Gateway” and provide your Ethereum node’s geo location, public key, IP address, and port. Geth command admin_nodeInfo can be used to retrieve enode and node public key.
  3. 3.
We will respond via Discord or email to provide you with the enode of the Gateway. Use this enode to add the Gateway as a trusted peer.
  4. 4.
Once done, we’ll start your Hosted Gateway, confirm with you that you’re online, and you’ll be good to go!
